Climate Change Study Cell of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology has been   established in 2008. This cell recognizes the world wide growing concerns due to global climate change. Climate risks now need to be integrated into national development planning processes and strategies. In this regard, a Climate Change Study Cell at BUET can play very important role by creating knowledge base and producing trained personnel to face the challenges of the impeding climate change risk. The main focus of this cell is on providing education and training, and conducting research on climate-related disasters.This cell is committed to conduct various activities such as facilitating research, organizing short courses, workshops and seminars, providing advisory services to government and relevant organizations, hosting international and national conferences, publishing journal, developing climate change Database and creating knowledge dissemination portal using world wide web.
